Have you considered taking piano lessons? Are you looking to fire up your neural pathways during the COVID-19 pandemic? Or perhaps you used to play the piano and you’ve been dreaming about taking it up again?
Distinguished New York-based piano teacher Jeanine Briefel is currently accepting students of all levels.
About Making Music
The importance of learning music dates back to ancient Greece. In those days, the historic record indicates students focused on three principal subject areas: religion, which covered everything spiritual and supernatural; mathematics, which covered everything physical, temporal and material; and music, which was the synthesis of the two.
Indeed, music, my lifelong passion, has been the earth, the sun, the moon, and the stars for me, and I invite you to explore this fascinating world.
By studying the piano, you’ll
Improve concentration
Enhance neural brain pathways
Increase problem-solving skills
Develop fine motor skills
Explore new music
Most of all, you’ll experience the deep satisfaction that comes from the joy of music making with your own two hands, and – not to mention, your heart and mind.
What others say
I cannot put into words how thankful I am for everything you’ve taught me. I have grown as a piano player and that wouldn’t have happened without your guidance. I will always remember everything you’ve taught me! Thank you so much.

Jeanine is a unique combination of gentle nurturing and professional focus. Her calm manner relaxes and supports her students. She explains new musical concepts simply and clearly and often in an interesting way that makes them stick. She has a way of progressing her students’ musicality, skill and confidence that seems as natural as a flowing river. My daughter is shy, but she now is able to play piano in front of others with confidence. This is a life skill far beyond the piano, but learned from Mrs. Briefel.
